Introduction to Disability-Inclusive Continuing Education and Training (CET) for Training Providers
Workshop Synopsis
Singapore's adult learners include many persons with disabilities (PwDs) whose potential remains under-tapped, while demand for inclusive and employment-focused training continues to grow. Mainstream training providers already have strong adult education capabilities. This introductory session explores how these capabilities can be extended to better support learners with disabilities.
Participants will gain an overview of Singapore's disability landscape, the role of SG Enable in strengthening the disability Continuing Education and Training (CET) ecosystem, and the profile and learning needs of CET learners with disabilities. The session also introduces key considerations for designing inclusive training, emerging workforce opportunities, and capability development resources, including the Enabling Skills and Competencies Framework (ESCF).
Through discussions, practical activities, and reflection, participants will consider how their organisations can begin or strengthen their disability inclusion journey, and learn how the Enabling Academy can support their capability development.
