This foundation workshop aims to equip participants with the basic understanding of different types of disabilities and disability etiquette to help build their disability confidence in interacting with persons with disabilities. Employers who are interested to hire persons with disabilities will be able to better facilitate the recruitment process, provide accommodation and support to integrate and sustain employees with disabilities in the workplace.

Learning Outcome

At the end of this workshop, participants will understand how to:

• Develop the business case for hiring persons with disabilities
• Interact with persons with disabilities
• Use practical tips to interview, hire and integrate persons with disabilities into organisations
• Provide workplace and job accommodation, employee engagement and support for persons with disabilities
• Build an inclusive workplace environment for persons with disabilities
