Trainees will attain a higher level of knowledge, skills and attitudes to apply and implement good early childhood caregiving practices.  It builds on the knowledge that trainees would have acquired during the Fundamentals course and extends it to application of learning in caregiving routines as well as in ensuring the health and safety regulations are followed. This course comprises of two modules:

Module 1 - Caregiving Practices for Children 0-8 year

Module 2 - Apply Basic Health, Hygiene, Safety and Nutrition Practices for Children 0-8 years

 

Learning Outcomes

1. Acquire skills in performing routine care and supervision of young children

2. Understand and meet the basic safety, health, hygiene and nutritional needs of young children

Mode of Delivery

Trainings are conducted in a face-to-face setting or online, where appropriate. The training will also take place at an actual preschool site.
