Work with Us
Collective collaborated with the master enamellist from Royal Insignia to hand craft a limited release of this brooch in silver and 2 new tie clips in turquoise and grey using design elements from artworks by artists Katy and Adeline (both are visually impaired). Also, Collective partnered Binary Style to adapt designs from persons with disabilities to produce 5 chiffon scarves and 2 silk satin twillies for sale.
Istana Commissioned State Gifts
The Istana commissioned Collective to produce a collection of 4 state gifts for gifting to foreign dignitaries and head of states. Master craftsmen from SPD Bookbindery and SPD Artisan Collab designed, hand-bound and hand-stitched the half-leather bound journal and leather valet tray respectively. Original art pieces created by artists with disabilities were adapted to create an exquisite porcelain plate and a fashionable scarf by Supermama and Binary Style respectively.
Breathing Batik Collection (2022)
Singapore museum store Supermama presents the M for Museum showcase with an eclectic cast of local designers and artists at Milano Design Week 2022. From digital artists reshaping physical goods to artists with disabilities pushing the boundaries of Southeast Asian craft, this exhibit points to the ingenuity of Singapore talents as agents of social good in an ever-changing world.
This lacquerware collection is our foray into batik-inspired prints—an art form that pays homage to our Southeast Asian heritage. All the designs were crafted by Singaporean artists with disabilities. With this patchwork of vibrant objects, we shine a light on inclusive design, presenting the creations of these under-represented talents to a global audience.
