Special Student Care Centres (SSCC)

Special Student Care Centres (SSCCs) offer subsidised before and after school care services for students with special needs aged 7 to 18.


Overview of Programme

Special Student Care Centres (SSCCs) provide before and after school care services to mainstream or Special Education (SPED) school-going students with disabilities aged 7 to 18.

The care services could also include educational support, social and life skills for independent living.

Who Can App​ly

Enrolling in SSCCs

If you wish to enroll your child in an SSCC, please contact the nearest SSCC directly to check for eligibility. You may also approach your child's school Social Worker, Allied Educator or hospital Medical Social Worker for assisstance.


Subsidies for SSCCs

If eligible, you can tap on the ComCare Student Subsidies scheme, also known as Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA).

Applicants must meet the following criteria:


  • The student must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident. If the student is a Permanent Resident, at least one immediate family membermust be a Singapore Citizen.


  • Aged between 7 and 18 years old

  • Attending a mainstream or Special Education school

  • Certified by a medical doctor confirming the student’s disability

  • Have a gross monthly household income of less than $4,000 and a gross per capita family income of less than $1,000.

The following table shows the subsidies available to students with disabilities enrolled in the appointed SSCC. Please speak to the centres directly for more information on the subsidies.

How to Apply

If you have your child's medical documents, you can contact your nearest SSCC directly. You may also approach your child's school Social Worker, Allied Educator or hospital Medical Social Worker for assistance.
