The Enabling Lives Festival held virtually in December 2020 was a huge success, with many of our programmes fully booked. Thank you for your participation and support!
The 3-weeks long festival was in conjunction with the 5th Anniversary of Enabling Village - the first inclusive community space in Singapore. Themed "Connect, Collaborate, Celebrate," the festival hoped to strengthen connections within the disability community, spark collaborations, and celebrate disability inclusion efforts and achievement of persons with disabilities.
Highlights of our programmes include the "Microsoft Webinar on Accessibility" and "Just Ask Me!". The latter is an interactive session to learn more about disability from our friends with special needs. There were entertainment programmes such as "Ho! Ho! Home!" and "Singing Stories for the Festive Season" which were sing-along sessions specially put together by award-winning teams.
The event observed the launch of the Social Innovation Grant and Public Education initiative.
In the second edition of I'mable gift market, many products by artists and artisans with disabilities from the social service agencies and social enterprises, were snapped up during the festive season.
The Goh Chok Tong Enable Awards in its second year recognized 16 award winners. It was held physically in The Istana with President Halimah Yacob as the Guest-of-Honour.
If you have missed any of the programmes, fret not. We have put the recordings of our virtual programmes here for you. (Hyperlink to ELF Microsite).
